Our Strategic Plan

Over thirty years ago, CBDIO made a powerful commitment: to uplift and serve Indigenous communities who migrated to the U.S. Since then, we have built strong, cross-border connections among Triqui, Mixteco, Zapotec, Chatino, Amuzgo, Tlapateco, and other Indigenous Peoples. Together, we’ve responded to crises with resilience, ensuring our communities receive the information, resources, and support they need to thrive.
 

As we look to the next five years, CBDIO remains firmly rooted in our commitment to Building Indigenous Power, grounding our work in ancestral knowledge, community unity, and the lived experiences of our people.

 

Our strategic plan is rooted and guided by our Four Sisters: culture, language justice, economic justice, and organizing. These pillars are the foundation of our strategic initiatives and will support us in achieving the vision and mission of the organization. Looking ahead, CBDIO will launch an Organizing Academy and establish the nation’s first Indigenous Farmworker Center — key milestones in our mission to cultivate lasting power within our communities.
